Individual Supported Living (ISL)
PAI of Missouri is an approved ISL provider agency. Individual Supported Living homes allow up to three individuals to live simultaneously in a home with supports placed around them to insure their safety and community inclusion. Our ISL homes have 24-hours staff in the homes to assist with such activities as: budgeting, shopping, hygiene, employment, and other activities to promote independence and inclusion.
Behavior Therapy
Behavior Therapy Services are designed to help individuals who have behavior, social, and communication challenges to acquire functional skills to prevent hospitalizations or out-of-home placements. PAI of Missouri provides this services as part of the Individual Supported Living homes as needed. Also, PAI of Missouri provides Behavior services through the Autism Wavier.
Behavior Services for the Autism Wavier have three components: Senior Behavior Consultant, Behavior Intervention Specialist, and Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA). Depending on the needs of the individual, one or more of the components may be authorized for an individual without duplication.
Personal Assistant
Personal assistant services include assistance with any activity of daily living (ADL) or instrumental activity of daily living (IADL). Assistance for ADLs include bathing, toileting, transfer and ambulation, skin care, grooming, dressing, extension of therapies and exercise, care of adaptive equipment, meal preparation, feeding and incidental household cleaning and laundry. IADLs include shopping, banking, budgeting, using public transportation, social interaction, recreation and leisure activities and assistance with IADLs includes accompaniment, coaching and minor problem-solving necessary to achieve increased independence, productivity and inclusion in the community. While ordinarily provided on a one-to-one basis, personal assistance may include assisting up to three individuals at a time.
